The Cordova Palace in Granada, host… an exhibition of torture instruments used by the Inquisition from the Middle Ages to the XIX century. The exhibit, unique in its genre, welcomed more than 3 millions visitors in Europe, and in Spain by over than a million visitors since its inauguration in Toledo. “The most important goal of this exhibition”, as the Culture Assessor of Granada, José Miguel Castillo explained during his presentation, “is demonstrating to what extent the human being can use his intelligence and imagination to cause pain to others. The exposition is unpleasant, but also useful to wake up our consciences.”
